Brittain Engineering, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering within the construction industry. We provide professional engineering design services for a wide variety of projects including military facilities, institutional and industrial projects, medical facilities, universities, commercial buildings, secondary schools, multifamily housing, industrial plants, churches and airports.

Our current list of clients includes Corning Corporation, CommScope, Sprint/Centel Telephone, Shurtape Technologies, City of Wilmington, Century Furniture, Great Lakes Carbon Corporation, Hickory Printing Group, Pepsi-Cola Co., Paramount Automotive, Dale Jarrett Ford, Department of Defense, Broughton Hospital, N.C. Department of Corrections, Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Memorial Hospital, Cleveland Memorial Hospital, N.C. Baptist Hospital, N.C. Department of Human Resources and Veterans Administration Hospital.

We also work for many school systems including Burke County, Catawba County, Caldwell County, Hickory City, Newton-Conover, Cleveland County and Buncombe County Schools. We have also worked with Catawba Valley Community College, Mitchell Community College, Surry Community College, Asheville-Buncombe Technical College, Pfeiffer College, Lenoir-Rhyne College and Appalachian State University and Western Carolina University.

We have an extensive in-house computer drafting capability that is configured in a decentralized system based on the Pentium microprocessor. Our in-house computer-aided drafting group utilizes AutoCAD software on a daily basis.

Additional engineering services we offer are Life Cycle Cost Studies, building performance modeling, T/A Energy Analysis, complex energy analysis utilizing TRACE, applied problem solutions, fire protection design and engineering studies.

Brittain Engineering, Inc. is a registered professional corporation in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina and is the continuation and consolidation of two previous firms that began practice in 1963. We have sustained solid growth over the years and attribute our success to three principal tenets.
